About The Position

We are seeking a seasoned Commercial Construction Project Manager / Estimator to lead projects throughout Winston-Salem, NC from early-stage budgeting through final project delivery. This blended role requires both analytical estimating expertise and hands-on project leadership to ensure commercial builds are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably.
The successful candidate will be comfortable transitioning from detailed pre-construction cost analysis to active oversight of subcontractors and field teams across Winston-Salem and surrounding markets.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience managing commercial construction projects while also preparing estimates and bids
• Strong proficiency interpreting architectural drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Proven ability to supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site operations
• Experience managing budgets, cost controls, scheduling, and change order processes
• Strong leadership presence with effective organizational and communication skills
• Familiarity with construction estimating platforms and project management software
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites throughout Winston-Salem and nearby North Carolina areas

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive cost estimates and competitive bid proposals for commercial construction projects in the Winston-Salem region
• Review blueprints, specifications, and contract documents to confirm scope accuracy and identify potential risks
• Build and maintain project schedules, coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and procurement timelines
• Provide on-site leadership to ensure construction progress meets quality standards, safety requirements, and schedule targets
• Monitor budgets, track expenses, manage change orders, and safeguard overall project profitability
• Maintain consistent communication with clients, internal stakeholders, and trade partners throughout each phase of construction
• Ensure a seamless transition from awarded bid to active project execution
