About The Position

This position will instruct program participants in the Commercial Cleaning Training Program and prepare them for competitive employment in the commercial services industry while providing excellent cleaning services in-house and to off-site commercial contracts. he Instructor also provides administrative and programmatic support, including OSHA training assistance, procurement documentation, computer lab support, and leadership on Source America compliance documentation.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree, Vocational Degree or other recognized certification in related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook and Word programs
  • 2-4 years of relevant industry experience at a supervisor or higher level

Responsibilities

  • Commercial Cleaning Training
  • Provide classroom and hands-on instruction to trainees enrolled in the Commercial Cleaning Training Program using established curriculum and training materials. B. Supervise program participants performing cleaning and custodial services at agency-operated sites and off-site commercial contracts.
  • Assist with administering OSHA-related training requirements, including coordination, documentation, and participant support.
  • Ensure participant understanding and proper use of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain responsibility for participant safety during all training and work activities; promptly report urgent participant issues or incidents to appropriate parties.
  • Administrative Tasks
  • Assist with procurement-related documentation, including reviewing and supporting the processing of procurement invoices in coordination with management.
  • Maintain positive and professional customer relations with off-site commercial contract partners.
  • Provide support in the computer lab as needed, assisting participants with basic computer skills, online training platforms, and employment-related tasks.
  • Provide support with CWS Tours
  • Workforce Development Team Support
  • Prepare accurate and timely feedback to Case Managers on participant training progress and hands on skills and work behaviors; participates in case conferences as needed
  • Assist with recruitment of candidates for the training program and participate in assessment, completion and placement support activities.
  • Attend weekly New Starts meeting and relay trainee feedback from both the in-house and transitional employment training programs to the WFD team
  • Assist WFD with placement assistance including employment-partnerships prior to and during job search
  • Source America Compliance & Documentation
  • Serve as lead staff for Source America compliance documentation related to the Disability Qualification Determination (DQD) and Participating Employee Information (PEI) forms.
  • Ensure timely, accurate completion and maintenance of DQD and PEI documentation in accordance with Source America and organizational requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to collect required information and resolve documentation issues as needed.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent commercial cleaning skills including current knowledge of techniques, products and equipment used in the industry
  • A high degree of technical ability to relay information in a manner that provides a positive learning experience
  • Ability to demonstrate concern and sensitivity towards trainees and their individual needs and learning styles while still providing consistent training and education for all program participants
