The Commercial team is essential to Tropicana Brand Group’s success by driving revenue growth, acquiring and retaining customers, and providing valuable market insights. Working closely with other departments to align sales strategies with business goals, help shape pricing and product development and keep the company competitive and responsive to market shifts. By building strong customer relationships, maximizing profitability, and identifying new opportunities for growth, the team contributes to both short-term and long-term success. We are looking to add a Commercial Brand & Market Activation Intern to our Commercial team. This role will be responsible for supporting brand presence, local marketing, and retail activation across the five boroughs of New York City. This role is ideal for a motivated, outgoing rising senior or graduate school student interested in marketing, sales, brand management, or consumer packaged goods (CPG). Tropicana is looking for a critical thinker with exceptional communication, influencing and relationship management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Interest in marketing, sales, communications, nutrition, or business
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse teams.
  • Comfortable working independently and interacting with the public
  • Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
  • Rising senior undergraduate, or in a graduate program
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must be located in New York surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment.
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs (e.g., cases for sampling events)
  • Requires sustained physical activity, including standing and walking for extended durations.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with NYC neighborhoods and transit is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support local brand activations and promotions across NYC boroughs
  • Assist with in-store merchandising, displays, and product sampling events
  • Conduct market research and competitive store checks
  • Collect and report consumer insights and feedback
  • Work with local retailers to ensure proper product placement and inventory visibility
  • Support social media and grassroots marketing initiatives (as applicable)
  • Represent Tropicana Brands Group professionally at all times as a brand ambassador
