About The Position

K2 Claims Services, LLC ("K2 Claims") is actively seeking a full-time Commercial Auto Claims Adjuster with experience handling both Bodily Injury (BI) and Property Damage (PD) claims. This is a remote position with some travel for meetings, training, or trials as necessary. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of commercial auto physical damage experience and be a motivated self-starter, eager to contribute to building a world-class TPA. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience handling commercial auto BI and PD claims
  • Experience working for a TPA or insurance carrier
  • Familiarity with handling claims involving semi-tractors, tankers, dry vans, reefers, and flatbed trailers
  • Familiarity with handling personal auto claims
  • Strong understanding of various states’ insurance regulations
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Flexibility for occasional business travel.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Investigate, evaluate, and resolve commercial auto bodily injury and property damage claims in accordance with state regulations and K2 Claims’ best practices.
  • Handle a range of claims from low exposure to complex losses.
  • Investigate facts of loss to confirm liability, including obtaining statements, analyzing documents, and evaluating damages.
  • Work closely with other adjusters handling coverage on the same claim (e.g., PD/BI or litigation).
  • Negotiate settlements within assigned authority.
  • Evaluate risk transfer and insurance priority issues.
  • Manage time-sensitive demands and litigation matters.
  • Refer claims to subrogation or special investigation units (SIU) when appropriate.
  • Draft detailed reports for internal management and clients, including reserve recommendations and claim strategy.
  • Maintain required adjuster licenses across applicable states.
