Commercial Asphalt Paver Operator
About The Position
Key Responsibilities Operate asphalt paver to lay asphalt to specified depth and grade Control speed, material flow, and screed settings for consistent mat quality Work closely with foreman, roller operators, and crew to maintain production flow Ensure proper alignment, slope, and drainage during paving operations Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance Adjust paving operations based on job conditions, weather, and site layout Maintain a clean and safe jobsite Assist with other crew tasks as needed Company Benefits include: · Overtime pay over 40 hours per week · Benefit package including medical health insurance, 401K company matching retirement plan, dental insurance, life insurance · Accrued paid time off (vacation pay) after one year of employment · Minimal weekend work · All work local to Metro Atlanta. No out of town work or overnight stays. · Year end BONUS Rate of Pay: Range is $27 to $30 per hour Requirements
Requirements
- 3+ years of asphalt paving experience
- Experience operating commercial asphalt pavers
- Strong understanding of mat thickness, grade, and paving techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Dependable with strong work ethic
- Ability to work early mornings, long days, and occasional weekends
- Valid driver’s license
