Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Primary responsibility for this position involves selling commercial services to a diversified portfolio of business verticals. The Commercial Account Manager (CAM) is assigned a territory where they will work inbound leads as well as prospect and develop new leads to grow their commercial book of business. This is an outside sales position that involves inspecting for pest control needs, development of customized pest control agreements and expanding the Modern Pest footprint within their geographic territory. The CAM is responsible for sales goals and regular activity attainment. Essential Job Functions and Duties, including but not limited to: Grow the number of commercial clients in a defined sales territory. On-site inspection and assessment of pest control needs. Sell Modern's commercial pest management service programs to commercial, institutional, industrial, and municipal facilities. This includes, but is not limited to, facilities as grocery stores, restaurants, food distribution centers, food processing plants, hotels, motels, hospitals, nursing homes, pharmaceutical houses, research facilities, retail stores, management companies, apartment/condominium communities, department stores, and government buildings. Generate leads from advertising and passive referrals in addition to developing new clients within a sales territory. Be responsible for timely and accurate reporting utilizing our tracking system, Salesforce. Reporting will include sales calls made, proposals submitted, and disposition of prospects. Provide timely and accurate information and paperwork to the appropriate Service Center for rendering services sold. Operate and maintain an assigned vehicle in accordance with all motor vehicle laws, company policies and manufacturer's recommendations. Introductory Period compensation and commission plan: There will be special compensation during the 60-day training period. During the first 30 days of training, you will be paid a flat salary of 150% of the normal weekly base salary. During the final 30 days of training, a flat salary of 125% of the normal weekly base salary will be paid. Following the initial 60-day introductory training period, the CAM will be responsible for selling Modern products and services and attaining a monthly sales goals as outlined by the Commercial Sales Manager. Commissions are payable while earning transitional wages during the probationary period. Ongoing sales goals, compensation, and commission structure: Following the successful completion of their probationary period, CAMs will be converted from the probationary compensation plan to the CAM compensation plan. This plan provides a base salary plus commission on all new business and sales within the CAM’s Book of Business. Earnings are largely determined by the ability of the CAM to attain and exceed annual sales goals. Sales goals are determined annually through a review of current economic conditions, competitive pressures within a geographic footprint, short- and long-term growth projections, as well as other strategic objectives. Sales goals and expectations are set monthly and are expected to accrue over the course of twelve months to achieve an annual sales target. Sales goals are based on annual value of recurring or portfolio business and total sale value of one time or job work revenue. All goals and targets are reviewed with the CAM and are tracked and reported via Salesforce. CAMs failing to attain monthly goals are subject to performance management measures up to and including termination. Compensation (post-intro period) All CAMs will receive a fixed base salary commensurate with their corresponding Service Center. Commission percentages are based upon the type of service sold; based on the Opportunity Type selected, commission percentages will be paid monthly. Quarterly bonus: To incentivize account retention, referrals, and recommendations from commercial clients, two quarterly bonuses are offered. Account retention is the total number of active, recurring accounts in a CAM’s Book of Business. The Book of Business Report is run at the beginning of each quarter and will be monitored by the CAM and Leadership throughout the measurement period. Direct contact referrals from existing clients in an CAM’s Book of Business, public-facing reviews of the commercial service on Yelp, Google, or similar site, or a written recommendation from a commercial client are considered referrals/recommendations when determining quarterly bonus payments. Quarterly Bonuses will be paid out in the corresponding Special Bonus Payment period, generally occurring on the third Friday of each month. Qualifications and education requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. No pest management experience necessary. Have or be able to learn practical and technical knowledge of duties, functions, service, and product offerings, terminology, work procedures, systems, and company policies. Have excellent telephone and organizational skills. Be able to work in a team-based environment. Have strong oral, computer, word processing, and typing skills. Required skills & physical requirements Requires constant contact with clients and Service Teams. May require extensive time working in an office environment. May be permitted to work remotely from approved non-work environment location. Work hours may include occasional non-traditional work hours to meet deadlines. Requires use of office equipment such as fax, copier, computer, headset, and phone. May require travel to branch office locations, off-site meetings and/or trainings with exposure to all weather and road conditions. Anticimex is an international pest control company.
