We’re seeking a dynamic Commercial Account Executive to join our Bay Area focused Sales team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in driving growth across one of the most innovative and tech forward regions in the world. You’ll help commercial organizations modernize their customer experience through cutting-edge AI and automation. Transforming how they connect with their customers at scale. You will play a vital role in growing Zendesk’s Commercial account base, managing full cycle sales from prospecting through close, while expanding relationships with existing customers to deepen Zendesk’s impact across their business.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required
  • 3+ years of B2B sales or solution engineering experience, preferably in SaaS or AI technology, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Demonstrated success navigating complex sales cycles and renewals, including value centric, multi month processes.
  • Experience managing and expanding customer relationships across multiple decision making levels.
  • Proven ability to sell to VP and C-level executives, both in-person and virtually, using consultative and data driven approaches.
  • Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with strong collaboration skills and a passion for continuous professional growth.
  • Understanding of AI, automation, and CX technology trends with the ability to translate technical value into business outcomes.
  • Proven experience developing and leveraging territory and account plans for sustained revenue growth.
  • Familiarity with key sales tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, and Clari.
  • Willingness to travel as needed across the Bay Area for customer and team engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Drive top-line revenue growth by acquiring new Commercial customers across the Bay Area and executing strategies that expand Zendesk’s footprint within the tech ecosystem.
  • Manage and nurture customer relationships to ensure maximum satisfaction, retention, and long-term success.
  • Promote AI adoption by showcasing how Zendesk’s intelligent CX platform automates workflows, increases efficiency, and enhances human connection.
  • Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to cross-sell and upsell AI-enabled solutions, maximizing account revenue and customer value.
  • Leverage data insights, intent signals, and adoption analytics to target high-potential customers and strengthen retention and expansion.
  • Understand and align Zendesk’s products with each customer’s business objectives, ensuring measurable impact and ROI.
  • Lead complex and competitive sales cycles, using consultative and value-based selling to deliver compelling business outcomes.
  • Maintain a healthy, well-qualified pipeline and accurate forecasting to consistently exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals.
  • Build trusted relationships with executive-level stakeholders, positioning Zendesk as a strategic partner in CX and AI transformation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to enhance strategy, streamline execution, and deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
  • Regularly track KPIs and deal progression to ensure high activity levels and sustainable growth across your territory.
