This specific role is for a full-time Command Center Operator. Command Center Operators are essential for maintaining safe and secure environments for clients. They are responsible for monitoring critical security systems, dispatching emergency responses, processing alerts, managing communications, and enforcing site policies. The position demands strong multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to remain calm and effective while managing multiple security functions simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Valid Security Officer/Guard License or ability to obtain one
  • Valid driver’s license with clean MVR
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
  • Weekend availability
  • Strong situational awareness and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain calm during critical situations
  • Basic computer skills; ability to use tablets and multiple software systems
  • Strong multitasking ability
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Able to obtain any & all security certifications/licenses
  • State Issued Driver's License (Not Expired)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • 1+ year of Military, Law Enforcement, or Security experience
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • Alabama Security Regulatory Board License

Responsibilities

  • Dispatch fire, medical, chemical, and traffic incident responses
  • Answer associate calls regarding lateness or absences and update internal systems
  • Respond to duress alarms and acknowledge card access alerts
  • Control and document access to client property
  • Prevent loss or damage due to fire, equipment issues, or safety hazards
  • Issue Hot Work and Confined Space permits
  • Enforce client rules, regulations, and access requirements
  • Operate multiple software platforms concurrently
  • Conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols to identify and report hazards
  • Monitor access points and verify proper identification
  • Review camera systems and surveillance feeds for suspicious activity
  • Respond to alarms and emergencies following protocols
  • Maintain accurate logs of activities, incidents, and communications
  • Perform routine tasks such as unlocking/locking doors and monitoring equipment
  • Assist visitors and employees professionally
  • Enforce site-specific Post Orders and security protocols
  • Ensure compliance with SEI and client policies, including parking, smoking, and loitering rules
