About The Position

This position involves working in a fast-paced environment with a primary focus on real-time monitoring of systems and enforcement. The role requires demonstrating a high degree of professionalism to create a positive image for the City of Virginia Beach. Daily tasks include using email for communication, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, and understanding Google Mail and Calendar. The operator will monitor customer payments and citation issuance, compile, analyze, and apply data, and use operational cameras to oversee garage operations. The role also includes event support, directing staff, monitoring Ambassadors in the field for efficient routes, managing incoming calls from the Call Center, providing information, directing staff as needed, and accurate reporting of incoming calls/citations. The operator is expected to develop ideas to improve operations and promote a positive image of the City of Virginia Beach.

Requirements

  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint applications
  • Understands Google applications including G-Mail and Google Calendar

  • Understanding of IT systems and monitoring tools

  • Able to stand and or walk for extended periods

  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
