About The Position

Polestar Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, a locally operated company serving the Kansas City community for over 41 years, specializes in providing trusted plumbing, heating, and cooling solutions with a commitment to excellence. The company aims to deliver honest service, expert guidance, and lasting comfort for every home. The Comfort Consultant will be responsible for meeting with homeowners to assess their comfort needs and provide customized HVAC system solutions. This includes designing and presenting system replacement options, upgrades, and indoor air quality products. The role also involves educating customers on system performance, efficiency, and long-term value, building trust through exceptional customer service, preparing accurate estimates and proposals, closing sales, and guiding customers through the installation process. Collaboration with install and service teams is essential to ensure a seamless customer experience, and maintaining detailed records of appointments, proposals, and sales activity using mobile tools/software is required.

Requirements

  • Strong communication, presentation, and customer service skills
  • Sales-driven mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Ability to build rapport and close sales in a residential setting
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • 1–2 years of HVAC, in-home sales, or related experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Meet with homeowners to assess comfort needs and provide customized HVAC system solutions
  • Design and present system replacement options, upgrades, and indoor air quality (IAQ) products (air purifiers, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, etc.)
  • Educate customers on system performance, efficiency, and long-term value
  • Build trust through exceptional customer service and professional communication
  • Prepare accurate estimates and proposals using company tools
  • Close sales and guide customers through the installation process
  • Collaborate with install and service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Maintain detailed records of appointments, proposals, and sales activity using mobile tools/software
