Join the California Region Capital team as a Capital Finance Intern and play a key role in turning financial resources into impactful business outcomes. You'll support strategic investments that drive infrastructure growth, technology upgrades, and operational efficiency. In this role, you'll conduct operational research, analyze financial and operational performance against objectives, identify emerging trends, and maintain tracking systems for project status and resource utilization. You'll also provide clear, actionable insights to help leadership make informed operational and financial decisions. You'll be working in the largest and most complex market in the enterprise during a year of exceptional growth. In this role, you'll help us deploy capital efficiently, provide actionable insights on projects and emerging trends, and enhance how we tell the monthly financial story. You'll also dive deep into the structure of our construction contracts, analyzing how they are deployed across multiple lines of business (Residential, Commercial, etc.), rate codes, and geographies—while contributing to process improvements that drive clarity and impact.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from a United States-based college or university
  • Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2026- Spring 2028)
  • Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2026 semester before graduating)
  • Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program- June 1 through August 14, 2026
  • Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
  • Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)

Responsibilities

  • Provides rationale behind reports and analysis and relays them in simple terms.
  • Conducts ad hoc financial research, analyzes financial performance against objectives, and determines emerging financial trends
  • Update and enhance tracking systems to monitor project status, funding utilization, and key performance indicators
  • Assist in preparing ad hoc reporting and analysis to inform business decisions
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
