About The Position

The Color Associate is responsible for partnering with the Color Manager and Cross Functional teams to manage the overall process of developing and approving colors that meet design aesthetic while balancing quality, cost and speed. Associate should maintain and develop color data that supports the overarching strategic vision. Collaborate with mills, NY Raw Material team, and Supply Chain Partners to provide best color solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant industry experience in textile or garment industry
  • Degree in graphic design or related subject
  • Knowledge of color execution on materials, construction
  • Technical understanding of digital color equipment – Spectrophotometer, Light Box
  • Knowledge of PLM systems a plus
  • Strong leadership. Ability to direct teams towards decisions.
  • Take hands-on approach when needed to deliver timely results
  • Needs an understanding of total supply chain from concept to Consumer.
  • Detail oriented, creative, and innovative in approach
  • Strong organizational skills. Results & solutions driven
  • Able to establish and maintain strong working relationships cross-functionally and cross-divisionally, as well as externally
  • Strong negotiating skills in diverse cultural environments
  • Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Deadline-driven with a strong sense of urgency and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Co-own communication with overseas teams and work directly with Mills, Hubs, Cross Function Team and Global RM team.
  • Partner with color standard providers for data management of new or existing colors
  • Maintain digital and physical color libraries.
  • Analyze digital data to understand the full global color picture.
  • Work with vendors to elevate digital color execution to meet PVH needs. Hold vendors and mills accountable for proper documentation.
  • Proactively guide CF teams to understand potential risks during development and establish the appropriate risk mitigation plans.
  • Partner with Design teams to sign off on seasonal calendar and ensure teams understand calendar deadlines
  • Provide cross functional support as identified by supervisor
  • Communicate and set schedule for daily touch base meetings with relevant teams for final business approval of l/d’s, s/o’s and bulk dye lots with an understanding of calendar deadlines.
