About The Position

This role will support service-learning programs. Applicant must be a current college student.

Requirements

• Current college student pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• Available to work 20 hours per week for 8 weeks ( June - August).
• Able to manage behavior, problem solve, and communicate effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with children and youth empowerment.
• CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting service-learning activities for youth ages 11-18 at the Youth Volunteer Corps (YVC) of Charleston Summer of Service ( SOS)
• Support the Program Director with a variety of service-learning lessons and volunteer events.
• Help facilitate and lead team building activities and energizing games while fostering an inclusive environment for all youth.
• Assist in implementation of program curriculum and lead small and large group activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
