We are searching for detail-oriented and motivated students for the following positions: Marketing Assistant (Experience with graphic design preferred) Our services benefit: CSN students, staff, and the community outside of CSN Work Experience in our Department supports the following Degree/Certificate Programs: Communications – Journalism/Media Studies - Marketing - English - Business - Tourism - Accounting - Education - Psychology - Arts - Theater - Political Science - Computing & Information Technology - Photography - Graphic Communication - Video Production - Global Studies - Hospitality Management - Hotel Management - Philosophy - Sociology - Anthropology - General Science - World Languages - Health Sciences Note: If your major is not found above, it does not disqualify you from the position. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of graphic design software, and basic understanding of social media platforms. Knowledge of marketing campaigns. Skills in photography, video creation and edition, desirable. Knowledge of Cricut machine operation, a plus. A successful applicant will demonstrate the following qualities and competencies: Be friendly, outgoing, and willing to learn; have a good understanding of diverse multicultural environments. Be able to follow directions and communicate well; have knowledge of Microsoft Office systems. Be punctual, reliable, and trustworthy. Being bilingual is desirable. No previous international experience is required. Offer and acceptance of a Work Study Award are not a guarantee of employment. Wages under this position are paid from Work Study awards administered by the CSN Financial Aid Department. To maintain eligibility, students must Show a financial aid eligible major (degree or certificate program) declared with the CSN Office of the Registrar, and Meet Financial Aid Satisfactory Progress after each semester/term to qualify for employment within the academic year, and Show degree compliant enrollment for each semester/term for which funding is desired. Be enrolled in at least 6 credits and meet additional eligibility requirements of the Silver State Regents Service Program for summer semester/term employment. Requirements

Responsibilities

• Assist with the creation and processing of documents related to Multicultural Center needs
• Help planning and facilitating on-campus events, info-meetings and classroom visits
• Assist walk-in students, faculty, staff and community members
• Create, publish, and monitor social media content across different platforms
• Assist with the design and publication of flyers, and other printed materials
• Attend, take photos, record, and/or live stream events
• Additional duties as assigned
