About The Position

Only students who have completed this year’s FAFSA and Accepted the Student Employment Award in their Financial Aid Package are eligible to apply For Semester/Term: Spring 2026 Hiring Department: Hospitality Management/Culinary Arts Supervisor: Ernest Hofilena College of Southern Nevada North Las Vegas Cheyenne Campus Work Hours per week: up to 20 Hourly Rate of Pay: $14.00 Position Description: Duties are for anything needed to assist the department. This may include the following duties: General clean-up of kitchen after students are done for the day Restocking food and supplies Sorting and folding linen Assisting dishwashers in restaurant lab Our services benefit: CSN students , faculty and staff, and the community outside of CSN Work Experience in our Department supports the following Degree/Certificate Programs: Hospitality Management majors with emphasis in: Culinary Pastry Arts Food and Beverage Administration

Requirements

  • Employees must obtain and maintain, at their own expense, a Southern Nevada Health Department – Food Handler’s Safety Training card (may wait to be hired before obtaining card)
  • Ability to bend, stoop, stand and walk
  • Able to work with potential allergens including, but not limited to: nuts, fish/shellfish, eggs, milk, wheat, and chemicals
