About The Position

Under the supervision of the College Pastor, handle all administrative tasks of College Ministry including communication, organization, logistics, financial processes, event planning and execution, while leveraging who we are and what we have been given for the sake of the gospel.

Requirements

  • Exhibit a growing and mature relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and personal initiative
  • Self-aware, humble, and teachable
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner via email and face to face
  • Detail-oriented and administratively gifted
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to learn church database software and financial processes
  • A member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church or willing and able to become a member

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls, respond in a timely manner to all voicemail and email inquiries.
  • Create and maintain communication to students and leaders.
  • Manage the church database and all financial processes for college ministry.
  • Manage the church reservation system and input all relevant college ministry events.
  • Assist the College Pastor and college staff team in administration, organization, scheduling, and logistics of student ministry events.
  • Attend College Ministry Team meetings.
  • Attend semi-monthly All Team meetings.
  • May attend some College Ministry special events that have been approved in advance by the Human Resources Director.
  • Aid in front desk coverage.
  • Perform other related duties that may benefit the church and/or college ministry as directed by the College Pastor or Executive leadership.
