About The Position

Yuba College is seeking an equity-minded, dynamic, collaborative, and innovative employee to serve as the College Instructional Support Specialist. BASIC FUNCTION : Under the direction of the Dean of Instruction and Learning Resources, perform a variety of responsible, complex and technical support duties for the College Instructional Program including the maintenance of the college curriculum; analyze and assure compliance and integrity of the class file data; Monitor faculty load balances; provide technical assistance and training to administrative and instructional support staff users regarding the curriculum and scheduling components of the District administrative software program; coordination in preparation and dissemination of the College catalog and schedules; maintain history of faculty instructional assignments. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS : The College Instructional Support Specialist reports to the Dean of Instruction and Learning Resources and exercises well developed knowledge and skills in the technical support of the College Instructional Program. The primary responsibility of this position is the coordination of activities, including curriculum changes related to the production of the College course catalog and schedule, to assure the integrity of the College class file database. The incumbent will be responsible for computer-based data analysis, report production, written communication and the ability to work independently. Physical Demands ENVIRONMENT : Office environment; subject to constant interruptions. PHYSICAL ABILITIES : Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer. Hearing and speaking to exchange information. Sitting for extended periods of time.

Requirements

  • Any combination equivalent to an associate’s degree and two years of increasingly responsible experience in instructional administrative support.
