About The Position

Boston Children's Hospital (BCH) is currently ranked as the #1 children's hospital in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. It provides comprehensive and specialized care for infants, children, and adolescents and is a leader in pediatric research, contributing to significant advancements in medical science. BCH also offers specialized programs and services, including cariology, neurology, oncology, and orthopedics. The hospital is affiliated with Harvard Medical School and plays a key role in training future pediatric healthcare professionals. BCH's family-centered care emphasizes a holistic approach, providing extensive support services for families so they have comprehensive care and support through their medical journey. The COACH - Community and Opportunities at Children's Hospital - internship program mission is to create a pathway for emerging healthcare professionals, offering hands-on experience, structured development, and dedicated mentorship. The College COACH summer internship is a 35 hour/week paid program running from Monday, June 8-Friday, August 14, 2026. Students will earn $17.50-$21.50/hour with unpaid lunch, depending on their experience. College COACH interns will have varied opportunities to gain on-the-job experience and exposure throughout the hospital. The program includes: Attending a 2-day program orientation and onboarding Being assigned to in-person or hybrid work with a department within Boston Children's Hospital Participating in virtual and in-person development program workshops Being part of a smaller cohort with an assigned mentor and coach to enhance support and development Specific work hours are determined by the interns' supervisor and COACH Program.

Requirements

  • Must be 16 years old or older by the program start date (Monday, June 8, 2026)
  • Enrolled in a two- or four-year undergraduate program and in good academic standing
  • Available to work during the full duration of the program
  • Can work in-person for the duration of the program
