About The Position

The College Bound Manager is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Director of College and Career Development. This role is responsible for leading a high-performing regional team and ensuring consistent, high-quality implementation of the College Bound Program. The Manager will work in partnership with a counterpart in the same role, with each Manager providing leadership for different geographic regions of the College Bound program. Together, they ensure alignment, consistency, and excellence across all sites while adapting strategies to meet the unique needs of their assigned communities. In addition to overseeing daily program delivery, the Manager sets the tone for team culture, accountability, and professional growth. By modeling effective leadership, providing coaching, and creating structures for performance excellence, the Manager ensures that students, families, schools, and community partners experience the full impact of the College Bound program. Success in this role will be reflected through student achievement, increased program participation, alumni engagement, and strong partnerships with families, schools, and community organizations. Commitment to Safety Contribute to environment of safety through the learning and implementation and monitoring of all safety-related best practices, policies, and procedures. Promote accountability to safety through consistent observation, adherence to all safety rules and practices and proactive communication among members, parents, peers, and leadership. Obtain and maintain Mandated Reporter training and complete annual Child Abuse Prevention training. Complete training and participate in all Emergency Preparedness protocols including drills and communication practices. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in youth-serving organizations with increasing leadership responsibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, motivate, and coach a diverse team toward achieving organizational goals.
  • Experience in performance management, conflict resolution, and team development.
  • Skilled in delegating tasks, setting expectations, and holding staff accountable.
  • Strong decision-making, planning, and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with ease in engaging diverse audiences.
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships with families, schools, and community partners.
  • Proficiency with office-based computer programs.
  • Flexible scheduling, including some weekends.
  • Committed to working closely with a counterpart Manager to achieve shared goals and consistent outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the execution of the College Bound program’s strategic direction in partnership with the Senior Director and counterpart Manager.
  • Lead, coach, and develop direct reports including Academic Advisors, Alumni Coordinator, Senior Specialist, interns, and volunteers within assigned region.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one check-ins, provide constructive feedback, and support staff growth through mentoring and professional development.
  • Organize and lead weekly team meetings to ensure program alignment, accountability, and clear communication across regions.
  • Collaborate with the counterpart Manager to ensure consistent standards and shared learning across regions, while tailoring support to site-specific needs.
  • Oversee performance reviews, professional goal-setting, and career development planning for regional staff.
  • Champion a culture of excellence, equity, and collaboration across the entire College Bound team.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with schools, community organizations, and business partners in assigned region.
  • Coordinate workshops and events with colleges, employers, and professional guest speakers.
  • Represent the College Bound program as a regional ambassador in community and educational forums.
  • Oversee accurate and timely reporting of College Bound key performance indicators.
  • Ensure staff are trained and accountable for using program data systems effectively.
  • Support grant compliance and contribute to funding reports with clear evidence of impact.
  • Manage daily operations of College Bound satellite office(s) in assigned region, ensuring safe, clean, and effective spaces for programming.
  • Contribute leadership to organization-wide initiatives, special projects, and events.
  • Provide support with software implementation and technology systems.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Assume other duties as assigned.
