About The Position

Welcome to Love's! The Accounting Operations team is looking for an experienced Collections Specialist to be responsible for collection calls, account reconciliation, store support, and correspondence in a customer service-oriented environment. Additionally, the candidate will provide customer service regarding collection issues, resolve client discrepancies and short payments, and monitor and maintain assigned accounts.

Requirements

HS Diploma or equivalent required.
1-3 years of collections or related experience.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, emphasis on Excel and Outlook; knowledge of billing and collections procedures.
Excellent oral and verbal communication skills; ability to prioritize and multitask; strong attention to detail; time management skills; team player.
Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
Requires normal range of hearing and vision.

Nice To Haves

Credit/Fleet Card or Customer Service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Correspond with identified fleets in collection to resolve issues in a timely fashion:
Contact fleet representatives to communicate collection items.
Prepare emails or collection spreadsheets to send collection items to fleets.
Follow up within 72 business hours with fleets to ensure approval.
Send items to the Billing Company for processing.
Research and verify that items in collection are accurate and complete:
Collaborate with internal and external teams as necessary to confirm all information is correct.
Review collections reports to ensure timely collection efforts:
Review the In Collections report daily for accounts.
Review KPIs weekly to maintain productivity.
Manage aging to ensure high risk outstanding funds are resolved with priority.
Other duties assigned as needed.
