Responsibilities Summary: This position involves donor screening, customer service, and whole blood collection. All protocols are clearly documented and taught using inclusive and recurring training sessions. A phlebotomist in this position might work at a fixed donor center location or at various community sites via mobile blood drives and will work with a variety of donors each shift. Sign on Bonus $2500 Location: To support area blood drives and donor centers around the Twin Cities ( training at the St. Paul center). Schedule : Variable schedule - Monday - Friday with rotating weekends. May be scheduled between 6:00 a.m. -9:00 p.m as well as some overnight travel Job Responsibilities: Assess and document vitals of presenting donors to determine eligibility. Perform blood collection (phlebotomy) in accordance with applicable policies and safety procedures. Provide excellent customer service and pre/post donation care as needed. Assist with the setup of community blood drives including the safe loading/unloading of mobile units. Perform cleaning tasks, including equipment cleaning. Ensure accuracy, acceptability, and completeness of documentation to prevent loss of units. Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings. The hourly rate for this position is $19.53 - $21.03/hr. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license required Local travel.
