This full-time, onsite, direct hire opportunity is ideal for a legal professional with a background in creditor rights, collections, or litigation who is looking to join a dynamic legal team in a stable, long-term role. Salary: $60,000-80,000/year, commensurate with experience

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in collections or litigation
• Paralegal Certificate or degree in Legal Studies
• Strong knowledge of NJ state court procedures related to debt collection
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a high-volume legal environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice management software
• Ability to thrive in both independent and collaborative settings within a fast-paced team environment

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with foreclosure, bankruptcy, and enforcement actions
• Experience with electronic court filing systems (eCourts, e-Filing)

Responsibilities

• Draft and file pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence for collection matters
• Prepare and send demand letters and post-judgment documentation
• Track case deadlines, hearings, and court appearances
• Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and debtors
• Conduct asset research and support judgment enforcement procedures
• Maintain organized and up-to-date case files and databases
• Assist attorneys with litigation preparation and strategy
