DBL is seeking a Collections Paralegal to join our team in Covington, Kentucky. The ideal candidate will be equipped with the knowledge and expertise to support a supervising attorney group and enhance attorney efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity. Requirements

  • Strong research, analytical, critical‑thinking, and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with the ability to format and produce professional documents.
  • Experience with Q‑Law or similar case‑management software.
  • Skilled in creating spreadsheets and presentations.
  • Proficient with Nuance PDF Converter (Bates stamping, redaction, merging PDFs).
  • Ability to produce documents on CDs as needed.
  • Experience with WorkSite/iManage, including scanning and maintaining electronic and paper files.
  • Knowledge of records‑retention procedures, including proper file closing, scanning, and shredding.
  • Ability to send secure emails using approved file‑transfer tools.
  • Strong proofreading skills with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain strict client confidentiality.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, teamwork, flexibility, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize files, documentation, and supporting materials for attorney review.
  • Manage daily workflow by updating case statuses, accurately coding accounts within the system of record (Q‑Law), and reviewing legal documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Draft and prepare written correspondence to debtors, clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
  • Conduct skip‑tracing to obtain updated location and contact information.
  • Communicate regularly with debtors, clients, attorneys, and court personnel to obtain information, provide updates, and support case progression.
  • Other duties as assigned.
