About The Position

To preserve the Credit Union's assets by controlling delinquent loan accounts, collecting delinquent loan payments, and/or recovering collateral.

Requirements

• One to three years of similar or related experience.
• A high school education or GED.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak English clearly.
• Must adhere to safety rules and regulations

Responsibilities

• Contacts delinquent accounts by phone, mail, text, and email; builds rapport with members; educates members on options available to resolve delinquency long term; takes appropriate action to bring current; Appropriate actions include but are not limited to analyzing the financial situation of delinquent borrowers, updating contact/employment information, offering various payment options, and coordinating with the Repo Specialist when necessary.
• Performs loan recasts; researches accounts and provides overrides; verifies and processes deposits made to delinquent accounts.
• Informs management of trends in loan underwriting contributing to delinquent/charged-off loans.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
