Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field from an accredited college or university or 4 years relevant work experience may be substituted
  • Experience in a financial institution or transferable experience in a complementary business.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience, including the ability to motivate others and lead change.
  • Demonstrate ability to produce clear, concise, and well‑structured written materials, including reports, correspondence, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to communication, both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and operational oversight to the Collection Department. Strategically lead an effective and efficient department ensuring organizational success while serving the needs of First Community Credit Union's membership
  • Lead the daily operations of the Collections department, providing clear guidance, coaching, and support to ensure efficient, compliant, and member‑focused performance.
  • Prepare accurate monthly Board and portfolio reports, delivering key insights on delinquency trends, charge‑offs, and overall loan performance.
  • Monitor and service the loan portfolio, engaging with delinquent members professionally, evaluating financial situations, and recommending appropriate actions-including collateral recovery when necessary.
  • Drive operational improvements by supporting new product, software, and process implementations while ensuring adherence to internal policies, procedures, and security standards.
  • Develop and support staff, overseeing workload planning, training, performance management, and communication to foster a positive, high‑performing team environment.
