About The Position

In this role you will assist members, staff, and third parties with general aspects of loan servicing and vehicle total loss claims for the credit union. Tracking and processing vehicle total loss claims. Ensuring total loss claims are processed and completed in a timely and accurate manner. Working with third-party insurance providers and government agencies in the processing of total loss claims. Assisting credit union members and staff with vehicle total loss claim related questions or issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum of six months of similar or related experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent Customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of bankruptcies, repossessions, legal actions, foreclosures, loan extension/modifications, and collateral protection

Responsibilities

  • Manage and track all total loss claims for vehicles used as collateral for credit union loans.
  • Accurately document each step of the total loss process.
  • Conduct account history research for documentation required by third parties in the claim process.
  • Contact primary insurance carriers and provide required documentation, as needed.
  • Contact law enforcement, as needed, for accident reports or other documents required to process claims.
  • Contact VSC providers and provide required documentation as needed to receive refund.
  • Contact GAP insurance providers and provide required documentation as needed for GAP claim.
  • Work with members during the claim process to provide good faith modifications.
  • Accurately update tracking logs and/or computerized system.
  • Notify manager of any concerns or issues associated with a total loss claim.
