About The Position

The Collaborative Delivery Preconstruction Services Executive is responsible for providing strategic leadership, oversight, and daily management support for assigned Business Units. This role partners closely with the Director of Collaborative Delivery, Business Unit leadership, preconstruction managers, and operations teams to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality preconstruction services across collaborative and alternative delivery projects. The Executive plays a critical role in risk management, client engagement, proposal development, budgeting, and workload planning while supporting company initiatives and long-term growth objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction project management and/or preconstruction management.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading collaborative delivery and hard-bid projects, including commercial construction, specifically in municipal, k-12, and public safety projects.
  • Advanced understanding of the construction processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with various delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, CMAR, Design-Build).
  • Ability to interpret civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and analytical skills with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and produce results through others.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to plan and manage project pipelines over a 3–5-year outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills at both operational and strategic levels.

  • Working knowledge of project funding mechanisms, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Ability to analyze engineering and technical deliverables on complex or high-risk projects.
  • Proficiency with project management systems, financial reporting tools, estimating software, and scheduling platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the Director of Collaborative Delivery to support strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Provide daily management support for assigned Business Unit(s).
  • Coordinate workload planning and resource allocation with the Director and Business Unit leadership to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Establish, maintain, and leverage strong client relationships to support upcoming proposals and long-term partnerships.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals, RFQs, RFPs, and client presentations.
  • Review cost estimates and preconstruction deliverables prepared by assigned Preconstruction Managers prior to client submission.
  • Identify project risks and collaborate with Preconstruction Managers to mitigate risks prior to Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) development.
  • Conduct regular meetings with Preconstruction Managers to review progress, challenges, and deliverables.
  • Review engineering and technical deliverables on complex or high-risk projects.
  • Lead and support subcontractor and supplier outreach to ensure competitive participation.
  • Provide innovative solutions to owners and engineers to maintain project budgets, schedules, and objectives.
  • Maintain and monitor the Business Unit workload schedule and staffing forecasts.
  • Provide feedback to the Director regarding workload demands, staffing needs, and resource planning.
  • Review GMP bid packages for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Perform scope analysis and identify estimating gaps or deficiencies as required.
  • Assist with Business Unit budgeting, Project Cost Analysis (PCA), position reports, and fiscal year-end cost projections.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure understanding and compliance with project funding mechanisms and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain regular communication with operations teams regarding schedules, expectations, and project transitions.
  • Develop and sustain long-term, beneficial relationships with key subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Participate in annual employee performance reviews and talent development initiatives
