Coil Winder Level 1 Main Responsibilities Perform all level I and lower-level duties with no supervision and some assistance. Have a positive attitude and good attendance Complete all necessary DIRS, train lower-level employees and plan and perform a complete range of job duties within the department Perform all duties assigned by level 4, 5 or supervisor Have the ability to efficiently wind 3 types of coils listed below. Types of Windings TV standard strap helical winding TV cable helical winding TV new type of winding if any RV 10 lead winding RV 20 lead winding RV cable layer winding RV new type of winding if any LV standard strap single stack helical winding LV standard strap double stack helical winding LV cable helical winding LV single cable disk winding LV multi cable disk winding LV multi standard strap winding LV 1/2 turn winding LV center entry lead on all LV coils listed above LV new type of winding if any HV single strap disk winding HV multi strap disk winding HV single cable disk winding HV multi cable disk winding HV 1/2 turn winding PA winding (standard strap) PA winding (sheet wound) (Tig welding) Have the ability to perform the following duties listed efficiently. Train as needed Efficient in using the winding tools associated with winding in which the winder has been exposed to. Follows all safety rules without a reminder from a supervisor Maintain a clean work environment Able to assist others is unloading coils. Able to assist in setting up mandrel with mandrel plates Able to assist in setting up cable spools Set up helical winding spool for next job Upright coils with no assistance Clean and sand the inside of coils Operate forklift to gather supplies for the winding room with assistance. Ability to assist at the coil press and burn leads Detect and perform minor rework. Assist higher levels Have an understanding of the Basic Insulation level (BIL) Operate and check all coils with an OHMS meter Work with engineering in a professional manor. Have a professional and mature attitude at all times Shows accountability for actions. Perform all other duties that may go along with winding coils. Use all measuring tools available in the Winding Room. Able to follow the direction from the higher levels and Supervisor Good attendance, accountability Show promise Worker Efficiently fills out all documentation Any other duties deemed necessary by the supervisor. Inspect one's own work and lower levels
