COG Railway, Lead Parking Attendant

As a member of the Cog Railway Team, the Lead Parking Lot Attendant supervises the systematic and orderly filling of the parking lots. Ensures parking attendants are assisting automobiles and bus drivers with locating parking spots. Ensures parking lot attendants trash pick-up and grounds maintenance in the depot and train platform areas. Supervises and performs snow-clearing operations. Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License preferred to transport supplies/materials throughout the resort
- Any employee driving a Broadmoor vehicle must be 18 years or older.
- Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.) with a work environment that may be indoors and outdoors at times.

Responsibilities
- Ensures parking lot attendants are within uniform standards and are conducting themselves in the appropriate manner,
- Supervises parking lot attendants on how to fill parking lots according to a pre-planned schedule.
- Answers questions from guests and members of the public regarding train operation, parking, and the locale. Addresses guest issues and complaints and directs guests with complaints to the appropriate department or manager.
- Contacts bus drivers upon arrival to direct them through bus turnaround loop.
- Monitors parking areas for unauthorized vehicles. Takes appropriate action (warning, booting, or towing), or escalates to the parking supervisor.
- Directs guests with mobility issues to appropriate parking areas and aids guests in reaching the depot and boarding their appropriate trains.
- Supervises and carries out snow removal tasks, including plowing, shoveling and spreading deicing agents. Takes responsibility to keep lot and guest areas safe and free of snow and ice.
- Supervises other employees in maintaining lot, grounds, and buildings, including trash collection, sign maintenance, and minor repairs.
- Supervises upgrade and maintenance projects. Orders supplies, identifies and collects necessary tools and equipment, and safely supervises other employees in carrying out assigned tasks.
- Performs specific yard and grounds clean-up and other projects as directed.
- Work at entrance to Ruxton Ave. to allow only authorized vehicles up Ruxton Ave.
- Must be dependable and able to work scheduled hours or extra hours as required.
- Must be able to follow direction and implement tasks with little to no supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
