About The Position

Picture your morning: it’s 7:00 am on a Monday. You review your route, load coffee and tea products, and head out to keep our customers stocked and their beverage stations humming. As a Coffee Service Route Account Specialist, you provide route relief when needed, deliver and merchandise products, and make sure every stop receives outstanding service. Your day typically wraps up at 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime available when business needs arise.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license required and ability to successfully complete a DOT physical.
  • Clean, strong driving record.
  • Mechanical aptitude with company hardware and software.
  • Sharp at identifying customer needs and spotting issues, problems, or opportunities.
  • Committed to company goals; uses sound business judgment and decisive thinking.
  • Strong communicator and active listener; aware of personal impact on others.
  • Relationship builder who proactively grows accounts and revenue.
  • Independent, self-directed, and effective with customers and teammates.

Nice To Haves

  • Route delivery experience is a plus.
  • Customer service background preferred; prior foodservice industry experience desired.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver, replenish, and rotate coffee, tea, and related products at each scheduled stop; ensure the beverage station is set to standard.
  • Keep equipment clean and operational; complete at least one CQC (Cup Quality Check) every day.
  • Escalate customer concerns promptly to the ASM (Area Sales Manager) and ensure issues are resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • Follow the daily set schedule to provide reliable delivery and service.
  • Handle invoices, inventory counts, and collections on your route.
  • Grow revenue per stop by closing distribution gaps on core items, running seasonal and LTO promotions, executing pricing actions, and maintaining perfect merchandising.
  • Flag route inefficiencies, customer dissatisfaction, or new opportunities to the ASM when providing route relief.
  • Support cycle counts, warehouse tasks, and customer-related projects as assigned by the ASM.
  • Learn brewing equipment basics to perform minor repairs and adjustments.
  • Use our customer call framework—the Farmer Brothers Way to Sell—to build loyalty; make additional sales calls when time permits.
  • Pitch in with warehouse operations, accounts receivable collections, and customer service activities when needed.
