About The Position

As s i gns and sequence di a gn o s t i c /p r o c dur a l c od e s to i n - pat i ent and out p at i ent m ed i c al re c ord s for billing, reimbursement and data retrieval by following established coding guidelines. Reviews documentation for accurate abstracting of clinical data to meet regulatory and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required; college degree preferred with coursework in Medical Terminology/Anatomy & Physiology and Computer experience.
• O ne to th r ee y ea r s of pri o r c od ing e x perie n c e.
• K no w ledge of M S -D RG ,APR-DRG, ICD-10CM/PCS a n d CPT required .
• Kno w ledge o f c o m pute r i z ed e n c o der p r ogr a ms .
• E x c el l ent c u s to m er s er v i c e s k il l s r e qui r ed.
• CCS required.
