Code Enforcer/ HOA

About The Position

Code Enforcement plays an active role in achieving long-term customer satisfaction in the context of Community Association relationships. Specific responsibilities will vary with designated communities and may include, but are not limited to: Inspecting properties for maintenance, landscaping, safety, and compliance issues and accurately recording findings. This role also administers the architectural review process.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of company policies, procedures and forms.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.)
  • Knowledge of OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of architectural plans and/or drawings at a proficient level.
  • Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.
  • Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).
  • Professional customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
  • Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at a proficient level.
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • 0 – 3 years of directly related or closely related experience
  • Must have a reliable vehicle and be able to provide proof of a valid driver’s license and appropriate vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Notify responsible parties of code issues given in writing, by phone, in person and electronically.
  • Respond to and investigate allegations of violations of codes to determine validity of complaints and the appropriate course of action to mitigate issues.
  • Investigate and enforce property codes within boundaries.
  • Schedule and perform systematic property maintenance inspections to maintain or achieve minimum property standards.
  • Receive owner architectural submittals.
  • Review submittals for accuracy in accordance to the association architectural guidelines.
  • Attend the architectural review meeting with the community manager.
  • Follow up with any committee direction.
  • Complete the meeting minutes and owner letters.
  • Other duties as assigned.
