JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title: Code Enforcement Officer (to include duties as Rental Registration Inspector) Potential Interactions: Administration, Finance, Building Department, Drinking Water Plant, Water Distribution, Sanitary Sewer, Street, Parks, and Recreation Potential Supervisors: Chief Building Official, Director of Administration and Deputy Director of Administration Definition/Purpose: The Code Enforcement Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with municipal codes, ordinances, and regulations related to zoning, housing, property maintenance, and public health and safety. This role involves conducting inspections, investigating complaints, and working with property owners and the public to achieve compliance and maintain the community's standards. The officer will also assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures for code enforcement activities.
