We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Code Compliance Administrative Assistant to join our team of professionals. Requirements

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer service-oriented with he ability to interact professionally with the public and municipal partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning new software systems.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and handle confidential information appropriately.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in administrative skills and customer service

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a municipal, permitting, inspection, or code compliance environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with municipal processes, code compliance, or regulatory environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to Code Enforcement Officers, Inspectors, and supervisory staff.
  • Assist with scheduling inspections, hearings, meetings, and follow-up activities.
  • Prepare, track, and maintain code compliance cases, inspection records, and related documentation.
  • Enter, update, and manage data in electronic permitting, inspection, and case management systems.
  • Processes notices, citations, and correspondence in accordance with established procedures.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for residents, property owners, and municipal staff via phone, email, and in person.
  • Respond to general inquiries related to code compliance processes, inspection status, and documentation requirements.
  • Route technical or enforcement related questions to appropriate staff while ensuring timely follow up.
  • Prepare and distribute notices of violation, warning letters, compliance correspondence, and hearing documentation.
  • Coordinate with inspectors and compliance staff to ensure accurate information flow and case progression.
  • Support special projects, process improvements, and administrative initiatives as assigned.
