Coating Masker 1st shift
About The Position
The Coating Masker is responsible for a variety of tasks related to the preparation and processing of components, including dry honing, blowing out internal cavities, and stripping old coatings using nitric acid. This role involves cleaning tanks and screens according to Chromalloy specifications, masking part surfaces with tape and wax, and operating plating tanks and an XRF machine. The individual must adhere to Lean Manufacturing principles, maintain accurate log books and travelers, implement 5-S Principles, sustain production and quality standards, and perform general departmental housekeeping. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential, along with adherence to the Corporate Code of Ethical Standards, Company IPM/QPM, ISO quality requirements, and all Company safety standards.

- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Ability to follow written/oral directions and instructions
- Ability to accurately interpret blueprints
- Ability to accurately interpret work in-process documents
- Self-motivated with a high level of ownership and accountability
- Lean skills continually drives process improvements
- Team building skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous light/medium industrial experience
- Basic computer knowledge

Responsibilities
- Dry honing components
- Blowing out internal cavities of parts with air
- Stripping old coating off parts in nitric acid
- Clean tanks and screen per Chromalloy specifications
- Masking part surfaces using tape, wax, etc
- Operate plating tanks and XRF machine
- Follow and utilize Lean Manufacturing principles
- Accurately maintain/document log books
- Correctly document travelers after operations have been performed
- Maintain, implement and improve 5-S Principles
- Sustain production standards and quality
- Perform general departmental housekeeping
- Regular attendance and punctuality is required
- Adhere to and promote Corporate Code of Ethical Standards
- Ensures compliance with Company IPM/QPM and ISO quality requirements
- Adheres to all Company safety standards and requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
