Coating Machine Operator

Spray Coater Operator - Operator applies coating to a surface using specialized spray equipment.
Responsibilities
- Operate spray guns to spray on materials like metal and wood.
- Required procedural training and understanding of the robotic crossarm coating system.
- Learn to perform initial setup and adjustment of the machine in conformance with job order.
- Inspect finishes for quality (smoothness, thickness, and defects).
- Have the ability to recognize, identify and adjust as required to rectify defects.
- Conduct preoperational inspections including proper differential pressures.
- Maintain equipment and follow proper safety procedures including but not limited to: Proper PPE, Machine Hazards, and Safety Guards
- The location of all controls, safety devices, fire suppression system, and emergency stops.
- Proper understanding of all start-ups and shut down equipment including how to lock out energy sources and proper housekeeping of the machine.
- Properly installing, inspecting, maintaining and replacing particle filters.
- Reports daily output and performance through KPI's.
- Participates and contributes to company safety program.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
