About The Position
JENNMAR Services is seeking both Experienced and Inexperienced Underground Coal Miners for full-time positions. The role offers competitive salaries and benefits, providing an opportunity to enter the coal industry. Miners will be responsible for various general labor and operational tasks within an underground mine setting.
Requirements
- Underground AL Experienced Miner or Apprentice Miner Certification in the state of AL Required
- Valid Driver's License
- Able to work any shifts, including weekends and holidays required
- Ability to pass background and drug & alcohol testing required
- Distinct aptitudes to perform job duties with care, commitment, passion, and pride
- Dependability to be consistently at work and on time with ability to work 40+ swing shift schedule as needed that may include working at different mine locations
- Ability to utilize different task training and to work on weekends as required
- Team member mentality with ability to follow all safety regulations that includes wearing required Personal Protective Equipment
- Lift and carry capability up to 50 lbs
- Bend and twist carry capability of 40+ lbs
- Equipment/material carry capability including up/down stairs
- Multiple-limb coordination, near/far vision, manual dexterity, climbing capability, long-distance walking capability
