About The Position

Coordinate job assignments, orders, processes for Team Members and work activities in DRIV’s manufacturing area. Assist in maintaining an efficient work environment and meeting productivity standards. Resolve scheduling conflicts and routine problems in the work unit as they arise and participate in Team Member training sessions as needed. Understand all business processes in assigned area of responsibility and be capable of performing all essential work unit duties. Notify the Operations Supervisor of any occurrences that negatively impact production. Adhere to safety, health, and environmental guidelines.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of high school highly preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work to meet daily work requirements.
  • Knowledge of the work area to perform same work as those coached.
  • Demonstrated computer skills
  • Ability to coach and train for basic job performance improvements
  • Typically, entry level - 2 years of experience.
  • Associate Skills plus:
  • Basic knowledge of all DRIV manufacturing processes to move from one area of the manufacturing facility to another as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize and coach/train for basic job performance improvements
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and expectations.
  • Typically, 2 – 4 years of experience.
  • Associate & Core Skills plus:
  • Advanced knowledge of all DRIV manufacturing processes to move from one area of the manufacturing facility to another as needed.
  • Leadership experience to provide guidance to a large work unit of more than one work unit.
  • Typically, 4+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the functions of the work unit, which typically includes one or more of the following areas: Manufacturing of production parts including machine set-up and operation
  • Packaging of gasket sets including set-up, assembly, and bundling
  • Distribution of gasket sets including picking, aggregating, consolidating, sealing, loading and shipping.
  • Provide first response to work area problems. Document problems, resolve when possible and follow-up with appropriate individual or group to ensure the problem is corrected in a timely fashion. Serve as ‘go to’ person for production-related and process-related issues that slow down the workflow.
  • Assign work and coordinate job assignments based on daily production needs and scheduled staff. Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules. May participate in daily production and shift change meetings.
  • Maintain and organize maintenance, time and production records. Prepare reports on attendance, productivity, quality and safety. Enter data into designated workbooks designed, and amended periodically, by the Operations Supervisor. May need to utilize and manipulate some MS Access queries to get specific information.
  • Monitor potential safety issues and immediately alert Operations Supervisor of unsafe conditions or events hazardous to the environment. Suggest ways to improve work area safety and lead by example in adhering to safety standards at all times.
  • Capitalize on cross-training opportunities to increase the knowledge of all employees in all areas of operations (in consultation with the Operations Supervisor).
  • Perform other tasks and assignments that are consistent with knowledge and training.
