This position provides academic intervention and support for underrepresented and diverse student populations within the Center for Multicultural Access & Success (CMAS). The role develops and coordinates recruitment and retention strategies through advising, coaching, and advocacy to support student success. The position meets with prospective international students, as well as refugees/asylees and students enrolling on other visa statuses, and their parents/sponsors. Responsibilities include processing international student admission documents in compliance with federal regulations; maintains student records and files. Provides academic advising and wraparound support services to CMAS (Center for Multicultural Access & Success) students. Works directly with F-1 visa students to ensure they are maintaining their visa status. Maintains an open and approachable manner and confidentiality. Serves as a DSO (Designated School Official) and functions as a back up to the Manager, International Student Services.
