About The Position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Include the following. Other duties will
be assigned as deemed necessary by operations & staff management)
• Organization and housekeeping of the casting/finishing areas -- cleaning and
basic maintenance of related equipment
• Clean and prepare casting tables, molds, troughs and other casting equipment
for production use or work with finishing department
• Inspect refractory of launders and furnaces for wear and notify Mold
Maintenance Technicians when necessary for major repair.
• Services troughing, molds and additional equipment as necessary pre and post
cast
• Inventory all consumables and other supplies to keep necessary stock on hand
and alert Mold Maintenance Technicians about potential shortages before they
impact production
• Read and comprehend blueprints to help maintain equipment as it was
manufactured
• Monitor cast for any defects and notify supervisor if necessary
• Completes reports and logs as necessary

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution -or be working toward this
• Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire, Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
• Must pass minimal physical test and background screening
• Candidates must be able to work any shift (will need to specify what the shifts are)
• Physical effort required by the job includes standing, stooping, pulling, pushing, climbing and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Willingness to cross train
• Ability to identify problems, inform others, and assist in the solving of such problems
