The starting hourly rate for this position is $22.00 with paid company holidays. Your co-op experience offers real-world experience through hands-on work in your field of study.Job Responsibilities This program gives students the opportunity to preview the work environment in their field of study and: • Apply classroom learning• Combine engineering science with communications and team-building skills• Receive hands-on experience Engineer co-ops working at the Weston Power Plant will gain experience in plant and project engineering, as well as planning, technical support and environmental compliance activities. Students will assist in evaluating equipment and system performance, while maintaining reliability, safety and regulatory compliance. The Engineer co-op will be working in, and learning about, generation at the Weston (coal-fired) Power Plant. Co-op Additional Details • This co-op term is for approximately 8 months (January-August or June-January).• This co-op is part of a five person engineering team at the plant. The Weston Power Plant is located in central Wisconsin near the city of Wausau.
