About The Position
BlueRock Therapeutics LP is a clinical stage cell therapy harnessing the power of cell therapy to create a pipeline of new medicines for people suffering from neurological and ophthalmic diseases. Two of our novel investigational cell therapies, bemdaneprocel (BRT-DA01) for the treatment of Parkinsonâs disease and OpCT-001 for the treatment of primary photoreceptor diseases are clinical stage programs. BlueRock was founded in 2016 as a joint venture of Versant Ventures and Leaps by Bayer. What Are We Doing? Our foundational science harnesses the ability to create and then direct the differentiation of universal pluripotent stem cells into authentic, functional cells that can be used as allogeneic cellular therapies to treat a broad array of diseases. We can also further engineer these cells, enabling them to produce enzymes, antibodies, and other proteins for additional therapeutic benefit. The IT Data Engineering CoâOp plays a key role in supporting the development, enhancement, and maintenance of scientific data and knowledge systems that enable researchers to efficiently access and use highâquality information. In this role, the coâop will contribute to the buildout and continuous improvement of the cell bank knowledge base, partner on data workflows that interact with the Electronic Lab Notebook (Benchling ELN), and assist with foundational AWSâbased data engineering tasks. This position offers hands-on engagement with real-world data infrastructure projects and provides exposure to modern data engineering tools, cloud platforms, and analytics practices. The coâop will collaborate closely with experienced technical and scientific partners, data architects gaining practical insights and strengthening their emerging data engineering and data analytics skills set.

Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development, testing, and refinement of the cell bank knowledge base, including userâfacing query features and humanâinâtheâloop data validation.
- Support data workflows connected to the Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN), enabling efficient data ingestion and retrieval for downstream analysis.
- Assist with foundational AWS data engineering tasks such as dataset preparation, pipeline setup, and cloudâbased storage maintenance.
- Apply emerging data engineering and analytical skills to real projects, gaining handsâon experience with industryâstandard tools, platforms, and practices.
