About The Position

Purpose: Provide consistent, high-quality food and beverages, exceptional customer service, accurate cashiering, and timely completion of support tasks in order to create a welcoming environment and efficient operations in Crossroad Cafe.

Requirements

Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business; early morning, daytime, evening, holiday, and weekend shifts required.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. throughout the shift, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand for long periods and to bend and twist repeatedly; ability to lift product overhead and/or to climb ladders with product.

Nice To Haves

Previous barista experience is a plus.
Retail food service experience desired.
Experience or demonstrated ability to successfully meet all expectations listed above including preparing beverages desired.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly, take accurate orders, and provide product recommendations.
Maintain awareness of and acknowledge customers standing in line; proactively call for backup as needed.
Operate point of sale, process transactions, and handle payments accurately.
Prepare high-quality beverages and prepared foods in an efficient, consistent, and timely manner according to standard recipes.
Maintain prep and all customer-facing areas in a sanitary and orderly condition meeting GCC Health Department standards.
Maintain attractive and organized prepared foods displays and clean, inviting seating areas.
Use proper storage, product rotation and labeling procedures; document wasted and expired items following protocol.
Monitor inventory and restock supplies as needed.
Complete opening, mid-day, and closing checklists efficiently and to standard.
Complete other duties as assigned.
