About The Position

This is professional services work involving the co-occurring assessment and treatment of clients at Riverview Psychiatric Center in a hospital setting. You will be performing diagnostic assessments, providing clinical input in client/staff consultations, developing co-occurring and substance use treatment plans, reviewing current substance use programs, as well as instructing students and staff. Work is performed under limited supervision.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to co-occurring disorders or equivalent in directly related work experience AND two (2) years’ experience in co-occurring counseling.
  • Education cannot be substituted for required two years’ experience in co-occurring counseling.
  • Licensure as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor as issued by State Board of Alcohol and Drug Counselors is also required.
  • A CADC will be accepted with the ability to attain an LADC within one year.
