About The Position

Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) is hiring a Co-occurring Disorders (COD) Team Supervisor to provide leadership, oversight, and clinical support to a talented group of COD therapists and care coordinators within the Pathways Program. In this integral role, you'll guide team members in delivering high-quality integrated treatment, support program development, promote continuity of care, and maintain a small direct service caseload. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinically skilled supervisor committed to supporting co-occurring treatment, multidisciplinary collaboration, and evidence-based practice.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Psychology, social services, or behavioral health.
  • Two (2) years of experience in the mental health field.
  • Current certification as a Substance Use Disorder Professional or Trainee.
  • Maintain a working knowledge and skill in verbal de-escalation skills and other agency-mandated training.
  • Maintain working knowledge of current Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health treatment recommendations, trends in community mental health, including health care reform, electronic medical record, and computer technology.
  • Knowledge of substance use disorder intervention models and techniques, harm reduction, group facilitating, and treatment planning.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other employees, clients, organizations, and the public.
  • Communication Communicates clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrate ability to work efficiently and effectively, organizing workload by prioritizing and managing multiple tasks. Maintain, or exceed, productivity standards as established by policy and evaluated by unit manager.
  • Strong organizational skills to include use of Electronic Health Record software or equivalent for scheduling, time management and all clinical documentation.
  • Ability to work independently meanwhile being inclusive to team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners
  • Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
  • Outpatient clinical setting. Frequent mobility and/or sitting required for extended periods.
  • While performing the job duties, the employee is required to walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, talk, and listen. Peripheral vision is also required for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Psychology, social services, or behavioral health.
  • One year of supervisory/administrative experience.
  • Washington State License (LICSW, LMFT or LMHC) and COD enhancement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent direction and supervision to COD team members with a focus on high-quality clinical care and continuity of services.
  • Assess and provide feedback on adolescent treatment program needs with attention to program development and improvement.
  • Supervise and assist staff in coordinating effective, timely, patient-centered, culturally competent, and age-appropriate services.
  • Support staff in providing clinical interventions and coordinating referrals with other providers to meet treatment and level-of-care needs.
  • Provide direct services to an assigned COD caseload using recommended substance use treatment practices.
  • Monitor COD treatment plans to ensure alignment with agency standards.
  • Support ongoing training for COD team members.
  • Support staff use of motivational interviewing, stages of change theory, harm reduction, stage-wise treatment strategies, and other behavioral interventions.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of the needs of clients experiencing co-occurring disorders.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of medications used in SUD treatment (MAT).
  • Support staff in monitoring compliance with court-ordered requirements such as LRAs and other mandates; follow all applicable WACs and RCWs.
  • Ensure timely submission of all required court reports.
  • Perform random drug screens as clinically indicated.
  • Demonstrate effective workload prioritization and organization across multiple tasks.
