A Co-Occurring Disorders Specialist is a Substance Use Disorder Professional who works with individuals who are experiencing co-occurring addiction or are at risk of addiction and impactful mental health symptoms to provide evidence-based interventions as part of an integrated treatment model. This position is part of a community-based treatment team, where a majority of services are delivered in our clients primary environment in the community. PACT provides intensive level of care services. This team is very fast paced and on the go. The ideal candidate must have efficient time management, organizational and prioritization skills. Candidate must have SUDP credential as well as hold a Bachelor’s degree and relative work experience. COD specialist collaborate with therapists, case managers, nurses, and prescribers to develop treatment plans and assist with care coordination. It is also important to be able to establish rapport quickly, motivate others, and keep a positive attitude in the midst of challenges. To be successful in this role, the COD specialist will need to stay current on trends and developments in the substance use and addiction field. The work schedule will be Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with participation of on call rotation to support clients after hours.
