We are seeking a skilled CNO Analyst/Programmer Engineer Level 2 to support the installation, configuration, and operation of advanced network security systems in support of critical national security missions. This role involves working with cutting-edge technologies to evaluate and enhance cyber defense capabilities, replicate real-world network environments, and assess CNO tools and techniques for effectiveness and performance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and forensic tools, as well as a strong understanding of scripting, network configuration, and system troubleshooting across multiple operating systems.

  • Install, configure, and operate network security devices including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and network traffic analyzers.
  • Deploy and maintain anti-virus, anti-spyware, and computer forensic tools.
  • Collect and analyze on-net signatures to identify unique device behaviors.
  • Evaluate CNO tools and techniques, documenting findings in detailed written reports.
  • Design, write, and execute software test plans for CNO tools and systems.
  • Create and maintain lab environments that replicate real-world network and system scenarios.
  • Ability to script in Python, Perl, VBScript, or Unix shell for automation and analysis tasks.
  • Perform configuration management, IP management, and system troubleshooting.
  • Design and implement network architectures incorporating Linux, Solaris, and Windows operating systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or Network Engineering, and 8 years of relevant experience or master's degree in a related field and 6 years of relevant experience or High School Diploma and 12 years of relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of network security concepts and technologies
  • Experience with CNO analysis, evaluation, and tool testing
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Perl, VBScript, Unix shell)
  • Familiarity with multiple operating systems (Linux, Solaris, Windows)
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills
  • This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of full scope polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government. Factors considered for a U.S. Government Security Clearance include, but are not limited to:
