About The Position

CNC Turning Specialist — Aerospace Power Transmission Imagine stepping into a modern, 150,000 sq. ft., air-conditioned facility where precision powers flight. TekPro is partnering with a leading manufacturer of power transmission components serving aerospace and defense—and we have 2 openings for experienced CNC lathe professionals who thrive on setup, program editing, and working across multiple machine brands. What your day looks like You start by reviewing the work order, engineering and quality plans, blueprints, and OP. drawings—translating GD&T into a machining strategy. Then you set the job up, run a first article, and dial everything in for repeatable accuracy. Plan and interpret work using blueprints, materials, specifications, OP. drawings, and GD&T. Set up three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, and attachments on multi-axis lathes. Load stock into the feed mechanism and prepare for safe, efficient runs. Verify settings by measuring positions and first-run/sample parts against the OP. drawing and quality plan. Machine with precision : drilling, grooving, turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing. Troubleshoot and refine : take measurements, detect malfunctions, edit programs at the control, adjust offsets/parameters, and replace worn tooling. Follow QA and safety procedures to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant operation. Maintain equipment with preventive maintenance, follow OEM instructions, and request repairs when needed. Document production and quality data; communicate across shifts to ensure continuity. Grow your craft by pursuing training, reading technical publications, and continuously seeking ways to add value.
