About The Position

POSITION OVERVIEW Perform all of the work elements necessary to make any set up or reset of the CNC machine. Set up work elements may consist of tear down and reset completely or altering an existing set up. JOB DESCRIPTION (Key Responsibilities) Set up, operate, and perform administrative functions for: Saw Multi spindle, multi axis CNC turning machine(s) Set up Saw (as required): Configure chuck and slug length. Load materials. Verify slug length. Turning Machine: Request gauges. Install collets. Install tool holders. Install tooling. Install inserts. Download existing program. Load a new program. Load raw material. Configure load/unload system. Adjust tool offsets. Obtain first piece approval. May modify program dimensions, feeds, and speeds in the case when the current program will not produce parts to print specifications. Depending on the machine, it may create CNC programs, and debug as required. Operate Saw: Reload raw material. Change blade as needed. Turning Machine: Reload material/part. Inspect parts for quality. Use data collector to chart part features. Adjust tool offsets using Statistical Process Control (SPC) data. Monitor load meter for over 100% Administrative Provide accurate piece count. Transfer parts to baskets, truck as required. Dispose of chips and/or bar ends. Change coolant. Complete all quality system documentation. Maintain organization of tool inventory within the Work Center. Perform daily preventive maintenance. Follow Ethics and Safety Programs Adhere to all Export, Import and Supply Chain Security Policy requirements relevant to the position Follow State and Federal Environmental Compliance Programs Adhere to ISO 9000 Standards Job duties include but are not limited to the above
