Where You Will Work Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM)/EA Patten is the primary division of Stanley Black & Decker Aerospace, with locations in Manchester and Columbia, CT. We are a leading innovator and strategic partner in the manufacturing of fasteners, fittings, tubing assemblies and engineered products for the aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. CAM is currently comprised of nine subsidiaries across the United States split among three segments. Who You Are Working in our Columbia, CT facility, on 2nd shift, the CNC Turn Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling machines to machine details for aerospace tubes, ducts and details.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • CNC machining experience
  • Familiarity with 3, 4-Axis or similar CNC multi-axis machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and operation sheets.
  • Experience with precision measuring tools
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up and operate CNC turning machines to machine aerospace tubes, ducts and details.
  • Perform tasks such as drilling, grinding and milling.
  • Translating instructions into computer commands for the machines to perform the correct function.
  • Perform offset adjustments.
  • Prepare and load raw material and parts.
  • Prepare a test run.
  • Set machines to complete full cycles.
  • Supervise machines while cycling, making any necessary adjustments.
  • Inspect and measure finished products using calipers, height gages, micrometers.
